The Greenland Halibut is caught of the coast of Iceland from the cold clean waters of the North Atlantic at depths of 250-1000m. It is a predator living of other smaller marine animals and therefore, giving it a sweet fatty flavour, rich in omega-3 fatty acids. In addition, to being tasty and healthy, the Icelandic Greenland halibut is fully frozen a few hours after it is caught making it very fresh.
Greenland halibut is sold mainly to the Asian market, where nearly the whole fish can be utilized, from head to tail. It can be consumed in various manners, fresh for sushi, grilled for teppanyaki, steamed or broiled.
